Who’s involved?

India are missing several key players from their 18-man squad, including pace bowlers Jasprit Bumrah (personal reasons) and Mohammed Shami (wrist), and star allrounder Ravidra Jadeja (thumb).

Three uncapped players were called up to Kohli’s squad – Suryakumar Yadav, Prasidh Krishna and Krunal Pandya – with the latter two making their debuts in the first ODI. Shreyas Iyer suffered a serious shoulder injury in the first ODI, which will see him miss the final match of the series and the entire IPL. He was replaced in the second match by Delhi Capitals teammate Rishabh Pant.

England were also in the wars during the first ODI, with Sam Billings bruising his collar bone in the field and Eoin Morgan splitting the webbing between the thumb and finger of his right hand. Subsequently, Morgan was ruled out of the remainder of the series, while Billings remains a doubt for the decider.

They are also without Joe Root, Chris Woakes (both rested) and Jofra Archer (elbow) while Lewis Gregory and Olly Stone, who were included in the squad to face South Africa last December, also missed out on selection.

Matt Parkinson is the only man in the 14-man squad not to have played yet, with Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone replacing Morgan and Billings for England's six-wicket win on Friday and Reece Topley coming in for Mark Wood.

India squad: Virat Kohli (C), Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Krunal Pandya, Washington Sundar, T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Md. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Shardul Thakur

England squad: Jos Buttler (c), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Livingstone, Dawid Malan, Matt Parkinson, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Reece Topley, Mark Wood

Reserves: Jake Ball, Chris Jordan
