A public memorial will be held at Townsville’s Riverway stadium on Friday, May 27 to celebrate the life of former Australia international Andrew Symonds.
Symonds died on May 15 at the age of 46 after being involved in a car accident.
Ian Healy, Adam Gilchrist, Darren Lehmann, Jimmy Maher and Matthew Mott will be among those speaking at the memorial service, which is being billed as "definitely, no jacket and tie required" event.
Symonds’ friend Rupert McCall, a poet, will also deliver a poem celebrating his career.

The allrounder’s family and friends will attend a private funeral on Friday morning ahead of the service, which will also be livestreamed at the Queensland Cricketers’ Club at the Gabba.
Symonds, a two-time World Cup winner, played 26 Tests, 198 ODIs and 14 T20Is for Australia between 1998 and 2009, scoring 6,927 runs and taking 165 wickets.
He spent his entire domestic career with Queensland as well as representing Gloucestershire, Kent, Lancashire and Surrey in county cricket and Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
Following his retirement, Symonds worked extensively as a commentator for Fox Sports.
