The statement, released in response to an article released by Fox Sports, also denied claims that Langer had been asked to reapply for his position as head coach of the men's national side
Cricket Australia have rubbished reports of a "fiery" meeting with men’s national team head coach, Justin Langer.
Releasing a statement in response to an article written by Tom Morris for Fox Sports, Cricket Australia confirmed a meeting between Langer, CEO Nick Hockley and high-performance manager Ben Oliver did take place on January 28 but were keen to clear up a "number of inaccuracies" in the report, including suggestions that Langer was asked to reapply for his job.
In the statement, Cricket Australia said: "There were a number of inaccuracies in a story written by Tom Morris on the Fox Sports website on Monday concerning a meeting between Australian men's team head coach Justin Langer, Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley and EGM of high performance and national teams Ben Oliver on Friday.
"While we do not comment on confidential conversations, we felt on this occasion it was important to correct the record.
"Among other false claims, we reject outright the assertion that the meeting was fiery or heated and that Justin was asked to reapply for his job.

"Justin has always been contracted as head coach through to the middle of this year and we have consistently maintained that discussions around the future of the role would commence following the conclusion of the men's Ashes series.
"Friday's meeting was the first time that we had the opportunity to meet together in person, reflect on the team's success and discuss the road ahead. We will continue with this process and make an announcement once it is complete."
Langer, who was recently inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame was appointed head coach of the national side in 2018 in the wake of the sandpaper scandal.
Under his leadership, Australia have twice retained the Ashes, most recently defeating England 4-0 this winter, and lifted their maiden T20 World Cup title.
However, his time at the helm has been plagued with reports of negative feedback over his leadership style and friction with players.
Langer is currently on leave from his position as head coach, with assistant coach Andrew McDonald set to lead Australia on their T20 tour of Sri Lanka later this month.
