The Sri Lanka allrounder tested positive for the virus on the morning of the third T20I in Canberra and has been placed in isolation
Wanindu Hasaranga has been ruled out of the remaining T20Is between Sri Lanka and Australia after testing positive for Covid-19.
The allrounder returned a positive Test ahead of the third T20I in Canberra and was placed into isolation.
The match went ahead on February 15 as scheduled, with Australia winning by six wickets to take a 3-0 series lead.
Due to Australian government protocols requiring a minimum seven-day isolation period following a positive test, he will not be available for the remaining matches on February 18 and February 20.
His absence is a huge blow for Sri Lanka, with the 24-year-old collecting a team-leading five wickets in the first two T20Is.

Hasaranga is the third member of Sri Lanka’s squad to test positive for the virus.
Kusal Mendis, who returned a positive test on February 7, missed the opening two matches but returned to the XI in Canberra. Binura Fernando tested positive following the series opener in Sydney and, like Hasaranga, has been ruled out of the remainder of the tour.
"He has some mild symptoms, some body aches," said Arjuna de Silva, head of Sri Lanka Cricket’s medical department. "We think he probably contracted it from Binura.
"Unfortunately there's no way that he'll be able to play again on the tour, as he can only start training after three negative PCRs. After this tour, we're going straight to India, so the aim now is to get him fit for that."
