Iyer didn't bat for India in their first innings against Australia on Sunday after being taken for a scan
Shreyas Iyer could be a doubt for India's ODI series against Australia after undergoing scans on a back problem.
The right-hander didn't bat in India's first innings against Australia, with the innings instead ending at nine wickets down.
He complained after the third day's play about a lower back pain and was being monitored by the BCCI's medical team, confirmed a statement from India's camp.
The same issue kept Iyer out of the beginning of the four-match series and the recent ODIs against New Zealand; it also comes at a busy time for the 28-year-old.

Iyer is due to captain Kolkata Knight Riders in the upcoming Indian Premier League, which begins in late March, though KKR aren't scheduled to play until April 1.
In his place, Ravindra Jadeja came out to bat at No.5, with KS Bharat and Axar Patel promoted to six and seven in the order as India racked up 571, giving them a 91-run lead over Australia in the final Test of the series.
