Postponed from last year, the two sides will face off at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart, Tasmania starting from November 26
Ashes schedule confirmed: Gabba to host first Test from December 8
Australia and Afghanistan will contest a Test match for the first time at Bellerive Oval in Hobart later this year.
The Tasmania ground will host the game from November 27 to December 1.
The two nations were due to face-off last year before the pandemic forced a postponement.
It will be just the Afghan's seventh Test and will act as a warm-up match for Australia ahead of their Ashes defence against England which starts on December 8.
"We're thrilled they're able to come this year," Cricket Australia's interim chief executive Nick Hockley of Afghanistan, whose six Tests have come against India, Ireland, Bangladesh, West Indies and Zimbabwe.
"It was a huge disappointment they were unable to tour last year.
"I've been speaking to the Afghan ambassador here, and I know the entire Afghan community in Australia is extremely excited so I'm certainly hoping as many of them as possible will be making the trip to Hobart."
