India have confirmed an 18-man squad for the three-match one-day international series against England.

Prasidh Krishna, the right-arm quick, is the one brand new face in the group after impressing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, during which he has taken 14 wickets at 22.21.

Suryakumar Yadav, who struck a maiden half-century in the fourth T20 on Thursday (March 18) is included alongside Krunal Pandya who is also uncapped at 50-over level.

Seven players who were involved in the Australia ODIs last year have been omitted from the group.

Manish Pandey, Mayank Agarwal, Sanju Samson, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Shami are all missing.

Bumrah has been on leave since the back-end of the Test series, Shami has been nursing a fractured wrist and Jadeja hasn't featured since suffering a broken thumb during the tour down under.

Prithvi Shaw, the leading run-scorer in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, has been overlooked for a recall despite averaging 165.40 across his eight innings for Mumbai.

Twenty-year-old Devdutt Padikkal, who struck four successive centuries in the space of 15 days for Karnataka, also misses out.

Following the conclusion to the T20 series, England round-off their multi-format tour of India with three ODIs in Pune on March 23, 26 and 28 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.
