We would be poor sports to claim the pitch is the difference in Chennai... England have been second best

Shubman Gill, the India opener, is awaiting the result of a scan on an arm injury which ensured he was unable to field on day four of the first Test against England in Chennai.

The 21-year-old took a blow to his left forearm on day three and has been taken out of the firing line.
