Forget how we got there, the series heads to Ahmedabad perfectly poised
India have added Umesh Yadav to their squad for the third and fourth Tests against England in Ahmedabad.
The 33-year-old has recovered from a calf injury which forced him to miss the last four matches.
But there is no place for Mohammed Shami and Navdeep Saini who have been recovering from a fractured arm and a groin problem respectively, suffered while in Australia.
Shubman Gill retains his place after undergoing a scan on an arm injury suffered during day three of the second Test, which meant he was unable to field on day four
Shardul Thakur has been released from the squad and made available for the Vijay Hazare Trophy, in what is the only change for the concluding Tests of the series.
Shahbaz Nadeem, who played the first Test in Chennai, has been let go from the standby list alongside Abhimanyu Easwaran and Priyank Panchal.
KS Bharat and Rahul Chahar remain part of the group
The net bowler group of Ankit Rajpoot, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Warrier, Krishnappa Gowtham and Saurabh Kumar remains unchanged.
The third day-night pink-ball Test kicks off next Wednesday (February 24-28) before the series ends with the fourth Test (March 4-8), both of which will be played at the 110,000 Sardar Patel Stadium.
