Virat Kohli has earned over £25million in 2018, more than double his 2017 income, a study by Forbes has claimed.
The magazine, which has named Kohli as the second highest celebrity earner in India in its annual rich list, says the 30-year-old has pocketed £25.35m over the calendar year, up from £11.19m in the previous 12-month period.
The India captain, who is currently preparing to lead his team in a Test series against Australia, is behind only Bollywood star Salman Khan in the Forbes chart.

In June, Kohli was named on the global top 100 earners among all sportspeople, placing 83rd.
The overall figure attributed to the his annual earnings is calculated by adding together his BCCI central contract (worth £770,000), payments from Royal Challengers Banglore, sponsorships and endorsements.
Kohli is one of three cricketers or ex-pros who make the top 10 sporting earners in India this year.
MS Dhoni, the former captain of the national team, comes in fifth on £11.3m, while Sachin Tendulkar ranks ninth on £8.89m.
