Hampshire bowler Dale Steyn
Dale Steyn has played down concerns over a groin injury, saying he is likely to miss just one match for Hampshire.
The South Africa seamer was forced out of his county's game against Nottinghamshire with the issue, sparking concerns that another lengthy spell on the sidelines could be forthcoming.
However, Steyn has now been fully assessed and he revealed on Wednesday that he is only set to be out of action for between seven and 10 days.
That means he is expected to be unavailable for Hampshire's County Championship trip to Essex, which is due to start on Wednesday, August 29, but he should be fit in time to take on Worcestershire at New Road from September 4.
Steyn made light of the coverage his most recent injury has received, tweeting: "Never had so much attention about my groin area".
