Hampshire have announced the players who will make-up their academy squad in 2021.

Left-arm seamer Josh Croom, who has spent the winter with the Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy in Australia, is the one new addition.

The 18-year-old joins a nine-strong group from the last term, which includes Toby Albert and James Trodd who are among the senior members of the set-up.

Under-15 prospect Dom Kelly is the youngest member of the academy.

Charlie Mumford, Huw Wheeler, Harry Broderick, Kamran Khanna, Harry Petrie and Tom Prest complete the group.

"We’re thrilled to add Josh to this year’s Hampshire academy squad and he joins a talented group, with nine players from last year’s group retained for 2021," said head of player development Charlie Freeston.

"Josh has always been in and around the player pathway system and we’ve been impressed with his development, particularly in the last 12 months.

"He has excelled as part of our U18s programme and has also had a fantastic winter in Australia as part of the Darren Lehmann Academy and playing high-level grade cricket.

"We’re excited to see what he and the whole squad can achieve this summer and are looking forward to what’s sure to be a promising season ahead."
