The South African arrived at The Ageas Bowl in January but has committed for a further two campaigns alongside first-team manager Adrian Birrell
Hampshire have secured the services of coach Alfonso Thomas for a further two years.
The South African moved to The Ageas Bowl in January as first-team assistant coach.
Hants reached the One-Day Cup final and finished third in Division One of the County Championship in his opening campaign working alongside Adrian Birrell.
"I’ve really enjoyed my first year at Hampshire and I’m looking forward to continuing working with such a talented group of guys here, both players and coaches," said the 42-year-old, who retired from cricket in 2015.
"As a club we have big aspirations for 2020 and beyond and I’m excited to be a part of that.

Director of cricket Giles White added: "Alfonso has had a positive impact on the playing group and his style and approach to coaching has proved a good fit for us.
"It’s an exciting time to be at the club and it’s great to have someone with Alfonso’s knowledge guiding our bowlers."
Thomas enjoyed a fine 17-year professional career, playing for a variety of sides including Warwickshire, Somerset and Sussex, before moving into coaching.
Since hanging up his bowling boots he has held coaching positions with Kent, Surrey, West Indies and Khulna Titans.
