The Cricketer takes a look at the next fixture in the 2022 Indian Premier League season
Gujarat Titans take on Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.
The game will be played on Saturday, April 2. The first ball will be bowled at 7.30pm local time (3pm GMT).
The game will be held at Maharashtra Stadium in Pune.
Both sides got their 2022 campaign off to a winning start.
Delhi Capitals successfully chased down 177 against Mumbai Indians to record a four-wicket victory with 10 balls to spare.
Kuldeep Yadav impressed with the ball in the first innings, picking up 3 for 18 in a dynamic middle-over spell. Axar Patel was the star with the bat, smashing 38 runs from 17 balls while Prithvi Shaw and Tim Seifert showed promise at the top, scoring 38 (24) and 21 (14), respectively.
Gujarat Titans, meanwhile, kept Lucknow Super Giants' stacked topped order quiet - Mohammed Shami picking up three powerplay wickets - and restricted KL Rahul's side to 158 for 6. Lockie Ferguson (0 for 24) and Rashid Khan (1 for 27) also impressed with the ball.
The Titans completed their chase with two balls to spare, with Rahul Tewetia (40 off 24) and Abhinav Manohar (15 off 7) instrumental in the middle order.
Mohammed Shami
Given Mohammed Shami's powerplay heroics against Lucknow Super Giants, the result of this match could hinge on how Delhi's top order cope against his bowling.
Shami conceded just 10 runs from his three powerplay overs, bowling 13 dot balls, and dismissed KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey.
Lockie Ferguson, introduced to bowl the sixth over, was also miserly, leaking just three runs, suggesting it could be a tough start for Shaw, Seifert and co.
They'll be hoping to capitalise on Varun Aaron, who conceded 19 runs in two overs.
