Toyota Media Hero nominees:
Teddie Casterton – High Wycombe CC
Teddie has completely transformed the way the Home Counties Premier Cricket League connects with its players, clubs, and supporters. What used to be a quiet league with just a Play-Cricket page is now alive with a proper 21st century website, regular interviews, features, and weekly updates that actually reflect the quality of cricket being played.
He’s taken the lead on media and communications and turned it into something the league can be proud of. Through engaging social media and fresh content, he’s brought the league to life and given players and fans something to follow, talk about, and feel part of.
Teddie’s work shows just how important good communication is for cricket to thrive — and how one person, with the right energy and ideas, really can make that happen.
Adam Hope – Lowerhouse CC
Adam took over the club’s website in 2002 and now boasts over 5,000 posts, regular weekly readership of 20,000 hits, and fully integrated e-commerce and ticketing for matches and events.
In a sport often accused of lagging behind the times, Lowerhouse has become a rare example of how tradition and technology can work hand in hand.
This digital revolution hasn’t just been about online numbers — it's transformed the matchday experience.
Crowds at Liverpool Road regularly top 500 for League Games with over 1,000 for big T20 games and Cup finals, the club’s Annual Bonfire Night has drawn as many as 5,000 attendees. “The History Books,” an online museum, is curated by Adam with some help from a team of volunteers and now hosts over 560 artifacts from the club’s storied past.
Ben Harris – Aldershot CC
Since April 2021, Ben has served as Social Media & Sponsorship Manager at Aldershot Cricket Club, spearheading the club’s digital storytelling—showcasing match highlights, player profiles, and club life across Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
He also co-hosts the club’s official podcast, Guildford Road Sessions, bringing cricket conversations to a broader audience, engaging fans in fun, club-centric dialogue.
Ben has taken his enthusiasm and creativity from his voluntary work at the club and taken this passion to start his own business, Cover Point Group.
