Hazratullah Zazai has joined the six-sixes-in-an-over club after a blistering batting display in the Afghanistan Premier League.

The 20-year-old Afghan, opening the batting for Kabul Kwanan against Balkh Legends, achieved the feat off left-arm spinner Abdullah Mazari in the fourth over of the innings.

Zazai cracked three maximums over wide mid-on, one into the stands over midwicket, another over the head of mid-off and completed the set with a towering straight drive.

With Mazari also bowling a wide, the over went for a total of 37 runs.

Zazai's big-hitting also took him to a world record for the fastest half-century in T20 cricket, as he reached the feat off 12 balls. He now shares the record with Chris Gayle and Yuvraj Singh.

Yuvraj is also a part of the elite club to which Zazai has just gained membership. Only five other players - Sir Garfield Sobers, Ravi Shastri, Herschelle Gibbs, Yuvraj and Ross Whiteley - have managed six sixes in an over.

Sadly for the young batsman, his incredible knock - which was eventually brought to an end on 62 from 17 balls - was not enough to help his team to victory.

Balkh won the game after successfully defending a monumental 244 for six, with Kabul ending 21 runs short.
