The University T20 Smash, organised by The Cricketer, is open to all the UK’s universities and provides a fantastic opportunity for students to play in a competitive, high-octane and fun Twenty20 cricket tournament at the end of their summer term.

Hosted by Desert Springs Resort, a training base previously used by England cricket team, the tournament is limited to eight teams, with entry granted on a first come, first served basis.

Desert Springs has hosted the England national team

With first-class facilities and a fantastic sun-drenched climate, Desert Springs will provide the ideal setting for the tournament. Off the field, there’s a BBQ reception on arrival and a gala dinner after the final, making the T20 Smash the perfect combination of quality cricket and social enjoyment. A great way to end the season and university year.

The resort boasts first-class facilities

The tournament will run from the 25th – 29th of June, with group matches being played on the Tuesday and Wednesday, culminating in final’s day on Thursday. With access to grass nets, numerous swimming pools, a high-class gym, tennis facilities and an international-standard golf course there is plenty to get up to in any downtime.

Away from the cricket there is an international-standard golf course
