Former Australia captain Steve Smith has joined Bangladesh Premier League franchise Comilla Victorians, as reported by Cricbuzz.
Smith, who is still serving a 12-month ban for his part in the ball-tampering scandal in March 2018, will join the Victorians as a replacement for Shoaib Malik midway through the tournament, which starts in January 2019.
This is the fourth T20 league which Smith has committed do, having previously featured for the Toronto Nationals in the Global T20 Canada league, and for the Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League

During the CPL he scored 185 runs at an average of 26.42 as the Tridents finished bottom of the points table and failed to make the playoffs.
Smith's ban does not extend to domestic tournaments outside Australia, and he will join fellow banned international David Warner at the tournament. The opener will be featuring in the BPL for the Sylhet Sixers.
He was also drafted as part of currently unnamed 'The Sixth Team' for the 2019 Pakistan Super League.
