Saudi Arabian batsman crashes third fastest T20I fifty against Kuwait

The third fastest half-century in international T20 history has been made by a batsman from Saudi Arabia.

Faisal Khan wrote his name into the record books with an astonishing blitz against Kuwait during an ACC Western Region match, reaching the landmark in just 15 deliveries.

Khan blasted a rapid 83, from just 28 balls, as Saudi Arabia easily chased down their 136-run target.

He now sits behind Yuvraj Singh and Colin Munro in the speedy fifty list.

Yuvraj crashed a 12-ball half-century against England in Durban in 2007, while Munro carted Sri Lanka's bowling attack all around Auckland in 14 deliveries in 2016.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, qualified for the final of the ACC Western Region tournament, thanks in the main to Khan's pyrotechnics.

The fifty is the joint-fourth quickest in all T20 cricket, with Martin Guptill, Sunil Narine and Yusuf Pathan having also hit the milestone in 15 balls.
