1. Chris Rogers (826) faced the most balls this series, just ahead of team-mate Steve Smith (808).

2. Joe Root scored 130 runs more than Alastair Cook, but the England captain faced 732 balls compared to Root's 686.

3. Mark Wood scored at the highest strike-rate of the series (76.86 runs per 100 balls). David Warner had the highest strike-rate of the Aussies (74.50). Minimum 100 runs.

4. Alastair Cook (45.08) was the slowest accumulator of the series (minimum 100 runs), although on day two at The Oval he scored quicker than a run-per-ball for the first time in 213 Test innings.

5. Chris Rogers (74) hit the most boundaries, one fewer than Ian Bell struck in 2013.

6. Ben Stokes (3) suffered the most ducks in the 2015 series. Mitchell Starc (2) was the only other batsman to record more than one.

7. Mitch Marsh (33.10) overtook Steven Finn (39.00) as owner of the lowest bowling strike-rate during the final Test.

8. Peter Siddle went for just 1.77 runs per over in his only appearance at The Oval. No other bowler could restrict the opposition to under three runs per over.

9. Mitchell Johnson bowled three of the four most expensive sets of bowling figures.

10. Mark Wood hit 32 not out at a strike-rate of 177.77 at Cardiff – the quickest rate of the summer.

11. Zero stumpings. There hasn't been an Ashes Test stumping as a form of dismissal since Brad Haddin stumped Andrew Strauss off Marcus North in 2010/11.

12. Moeen Ali's 1 for 138 in Australia's first innings at Lord's was the most runs conceded in a single innings.

13. Mitchell Starc, Mitchell Johnson and Moeen Ali were all flogged for 100+ runs in a single innings on two occasions.

14. Alastair Cook snaffled the most catches (9) in the series. Cook's slip partners Joe Root (8) and Ian Bell (7) complete the top three.

15. England's slip fielders took 36 catches in the series, compared to 12 by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler.

16. Australia's slip fielders took 16 catches in the series, compared to 22 shared by wicket-keepers Peter Nevill and Brad Haddin.

17. Mark Wood (7) fielded in the most innings without taking a catch.

18. The Australian opening pair added three century partnerships. England's highest opening stand was just 32.

19. Both teams struggled in the middle-order. Ian Bell and Joe Root's partnership of 73* was the highest in the series for the third wicket.

20. There were four successful DRS reviews out of 36 attempts.  

21. England batsmen Jos Buttler and Adam Lyth both scored less runs and averaged fewer than Australian bowlers Mitchell Johnson and Mitchell Starc.

22. Australian conceded four centuries in the four tour games against County Championship Division Two opposition, compared to two in the five-match Test series.
