After a successful association in 2014, The Cricketer is delighted to announce that Pork Farms will once again be known as the official pie-maker of the National Village Cup.
Andrew Lamb, head of marketing to Pork Farms, said: “We had a fantastic experience as an official sponsor of the National Village Cup in 2014 and are delighted to take up the opportunity to renew our contract in an Ashes year. It’s a competition that resonates with people, with these Sunday fixtures making fantastic social occasions, bringing together players, families and supporters throughout the summer. No doubt they will enjoy sampling and sharing a pork pie or two - what could be better?”
The Cricketer's managing director, Andy Afford, said: “Cricket and pork pies - a time-tested fit! It goes without saying that we are excited to be working with Andrew and his team again. The players, tea ladies and supporters will be just as delighted with this good news as we are.”
Pork Farms adds its name to Owzat-Cricket, Durant Cricket, Bombardier and TM Lewin as official sponsors of the competition in 2015, with Dairy Crest-owned Cornish cheddar giant Davidstow as headline sponsors until the end of 2016. The Daily Telegraph is the official media partner of the competition.
