High Street outfitters TM Lewin have agreed a three-year deal with The Cricketer as the official formalwear sponsor of the Davidstow Village Cup, extending what is already a two-year association to the end of summer 2016.

TM Lewin are also official formalwear providers to the England men's and women's cricket teams.

TM Lewin Business Development Manager Cliff Burgess was full of praise for the 41-year-old competition and its relevance to the tailoring brand, in existence since 1898. "Cricket is a great fit for us, our confidence in that association reflected in the extended terms of the agreement. We look forward to working with Andy and his team at The Cricketer and also interacting for another three years with this fantastic grassroots event. We couldn’t be happier."

"It’s a real feather in our cap," said The Cricketer Managing Director Andy Afford. "It’s always a real pleasure to see the finalists arrive at Lord’s and walk through those famous old Grace Gates in their Cup Final suits. I can’t imagine creating a better feeling for any amateur in any sport. It’s a little piece of magic we are able to make happen, only with the support of another great sponsor."

TM Lewin add their name to 2014’s official sponsors Gullivers Sport Travel, Scotts of Thrapston, Owzat-Cricket and Gentlemen & Players, with Dairy Crest-owned Cornish cheddar giant Davidstow as headline sponsors of the competition next summer. The Daily Telegraph is the official media partner of the competition.
