Former England allrounder Andrew Flintoff
Andrew Flintoff's dulcet tones are front and centre in the ICC's latest promotional video for next summer's World Cup.
Flintoff takes the lead vocals and is the star of the show in a 100-second film entitled 'the Cricket World Cup carnival is coming', with a number of well-known ex-pros also playing cameos.
The former England allrounder, whose forays into the world of entertainment since his retirement include a stint with the stageshow Fat Friends, heads up a cast of hundreds as they parade through English streets, fields, housing estates and parks, eventually arriving for a grand finale at The Kia Oval.
The likes of Kumar Sangakkara, Charlotte Edwards and Phil Tufnell, as well as Radio 1 DJ Greg James, appear among the crowd in the ticket-tap conclusion, which also includes dancing umpires and groundstaff, a brass band, a Beefeater and representatives of each of the 10 countries competing in the seven-week tournament in England and Wales next summer.
