Tom Banton has also been recruited as a marquee player for the five-team white-ball league, which is running from July 20-29
Eoin Morgan and Tymal Mills have signed up for the inaugural edition of the Zim Afro T10 league.
The new five-team tournament is scheduled to run from July 20-29 – clashing with the Major League Cricket season – while the competition's draft is taking place on July 2.
All of the matches will be held in Harare.
Each of the five teams has selected four marquee players ahead of the draft, with Morgan set to represent Harare Hurricanes and Mills joining Bulawayo Braves.
Somerset batter Tom Banton, meanwhile, has been recruited by Joburg Buffaloes alongside Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad while West Indies international Evin Lewis (Hurricanes), Australian duo Ben McDermott and Ashton Turner and Zimbabwe's Sikandar Raza (all Braves) are among the other marquee picks.

At the draft, each side will build a squad of at least 16 players, including a minimum of six Zimbabwean cricketers, one of whom will be drawn from an emerging player category.
Givemore Makoni, Zimbabwe Cricket's managing director, said: "We are in the final stages ahead of the Zim Afro T10's inaugural edition.
"This gives me immense joy, because to see this play out in reality has been a dream for all of the Zimbabwean cricket family, and it is a watershed moment in the history of the sport in the country. The fans, I am sure, are keenly waiting for the opening day."
