Several stars of the 2018 T20 Blast have been rewarded for their fine form with Bangladesh Premier League contracts.

Benny Howell, Ian Bell and Pat Brown are among the English players to have been selected during the competition's draft at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka on Sunday.

Howell, the dynamic Gloucestershire allrounder who is ranked at No.92 in the world by the Player Performance Index - a ratings system which charts all active T20 players, has been picked up by Rangpur Riders and will play alongside the likes of Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Alex Hales.

Pat Brown joins Sylhet Sixers

The evergreen Bell, who at the age of 36 made 580 T20 runs for Birmingham Bears in 2018, will take the field for Dhaka Dynamites along with Andre Russell and Kieron Pollard, while Worcestershire Rapids' electric talent Brown has caught the eye of Sylhet Sixers.

The business studies student may well have to miss a few weeks of term to complete his stint for the franchise, where he will be team-mates with David Warner.

Brown's Blast return in 2018 included 31 wickets at a remarkable strike rate of 10.48.

Elsewhere, Dawid Malan has been drafted by Khulna Titans, Liam Dawson joins Shahid Afridi at Comilla Victorians, and Laurie Evans has been selected by Rajshahi Kings.

The sixth edition of the BPL is due to start on January 5.
