All-rounder was unhappy with a decision in the Bangladesh Premier League
All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan's onfield strop in the Bangladesh Premier League has left him with a large fine.
Al Hasan has been charged 50 percent of his match fee for verbally absing umpire Ranmore Martinesz during a game in the Bangladesh Premier League on Monday.
The 30-year-old, who was captaining the Dhaka Dynamites against Comilla Victorians, lost his cool during the ninth over of the opposition's innings.
He was aggrieved by Martinesz's decision not to give Imrul Kayes out lbw, and had a few choice words for the standing umpire.
Three demerit points have also been attributed to the Bangladesh skipper and he will face a one-match ban from the competition should he collect another.
An ill-tempered game on Monday also ended with a fine for Victorians bowler Hassan Ali.
His memories of a man-of-the-match performance - he collected a five-wicket haul - will be clouded with the 30 percent reduction in his match fee, issued by administrators after he pointed Mosaddek Hossain towards the dressing room, having dismissd the batsman.
