WOMEN'S ONE DAY CUP ROUNDUP: No play was possible in Southampton, where Hampshire were due to face Somerset, while Surrey were forced to settle for a share of the spoils despite dominating Essex
Southampton: Hampshire, Somerset - no result
Hampshire were made to wait to confirm a home semi-final in the Metro Bank One-Day Cup women's competition after their clash with Somerset was washed out.
Heavy bursts of rain throughout the day made any prospect of play unlikely and after a 2pm inspection the umpires Dean Daniels and Ben Peverall called off the match. Both teams claim two points from the abandonment.

Beckenham: Surrey 313-5, Essex - no result
Surrey were left frustrated by the rain as their mammoth total against Essex came in vain. Emma Jones and Alice Davidson-Richards both hit emphatic centuries, but the weather closed in before they had the chance to turn their dominance into a victory against the bottom side in the One Day Cup.
Jones, who earlier this summer made a hundred while on loan at Glamorgan, made 141 from No.3 in just 117 deliveries, while Davidson-Richards, unfortunate to be left out of England's World Cup squad, added an unbeaten 107.
Hundred star added a quickfire 34 as Essex toiled, but Grace Scrivens' side escaped with a share of the spoils at the notoriously high-scoring Beckenham.
Sale: Bears Women 283-7, Lancashire 172-5 - Lancashire win by five wickets (DLS)
Lancashire Women won an exciting, rain-affected Metro Bank One Day Cup match against Warwickshire Women at Sale by five wickets.
Warwickshire had posted 283 for 7 from their 50 overs, but the Lancashire innings was halted halfway through the sixth over of their reply with the score 20 for 1 due to increasingly heavy rain. Set a revised target of 172 to win in 22 overs, a thrilling partnership of 106 off 73 balls between Gaby Lewis and Seren Smale set Lancashire on their way with victory achieved with five balls to spare.
That outcome leaves Lancashire, who had already clinched a top four spot, in third place one point behind second-placed The Blaze going into the final round of group games on Saturday when they travel to face leaders Hampshire who they trail by four points. Warwickshire finish their campaign with a trip to Taunton to face Somerset.
