With the senior West Indies team engaged in a domestic Test series against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and the West Indies A team battling against the English Lions and India A in 50-over cricket in the UK, a big opportunity has been given to fringe players to display their T20 skills to a global audience at the Global T20 League in Toronto.
The West Indies B squad includes a plethora of young allrounders who are absolutely electric in the field and are now in with a genuine chance of winning the tournament after reaching the final thanks to beating Vancouver Knights in the play-offs, with victory achieved off the final ball after an epic chase.
So who are the stars of the future? Whose names can we expect to become household? And who will follow in the footsteps of Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard and Andre Russell in dominating the T20 game?

Pooran is good with bat and gloves
The wicketkeeper batsman is arguably the most recognisable name on show, having already been involved with both the Mumbai Indians and the Khulna Titans.
He is playing in this event as a specialist left hand bat but is more than capable with the gloves. In game one, his 58 off 35 helped West Indies B get off to a flyer gainst Montreal Tigers.
A genuine athlete currently sporting florescent trainers as well as bright hair.
He bowls slow left arm and bats right handed in the middle order. He came to the crease when they were in deep trouble at 66 for six after 10 overs in game two against Edmonton Royals, scoring 75 not out off 30 balls including eight sixes to guide his team home.
Opening batsman and right arm medium pace bowler. In game three he scored 89 off 53 balls and bowled four overs, conceding 34 runs and taking a wicket in what was an impressive all round performance against Winnipeg Hawks.
Opening batsman and right arm fast Medium bowler. Game 4 He opened with a quick fire 37 off 18 balls and bowled 4 overs only conceding 21 runs and took a wicket. This helped them to a comfortable win against the Toronto Nationals.
His piece de resistance, though, came in the play-off win over Vancouver, when he blitzed a scarely believable 134 not out from 66 deliveries.
