Cricket truly is the gift that keeps on giving...
After Azhar Ali was left red-faced after a bizarre dismissal during the third day's play in the second Test against Australia in Abu Dhabi, when Tim Paine whipped off the bails while he was stood in the middle of the pitch having a chinwag with his team-mate, we have been treated to two more highly-entertaining run outs this week.
On the same day, this effort in Australia's JLT Sheffield Shield popped up in a fixture between Queensland and Tasmania at the Gabba. A crunching collision between Tasmania's Jake Doram and Matthew Wade resulted in a wicket for the hosts.

On Friday morning, another beauty announced itself, this time heralding from New Zealand. Azhar Ali will be thankful to Nathan Smith and Michael Rippon for coming up with this gem in a match between Otago and Wellington at Basin Reserve in the Plunket Shield.

The nature of Tasmania's slip-slide effort will no doubt draw comparisons to this classic involving Samit Patel.
