Both players have been given permission to leave the Lord's Test to play for Somerset and Yorkshire respectively in their matches against Glamorgan and Durham. They will return to the camp for day three
Craig Overton and Harry Brook are in line to play for their respective counties in tonight's batch of T20 Blast fixtures after being given permission to leave the first New Zealand Test at Lord's.
Overton is available to play for Somerset against Glamorgan at Taunton, while Yorkshire's Brook is in line to face Durham.
Both players were left out of the XI for the match but were deployed as substitute fielders across the opening day while a succession of players left the field.
Among them was Jack Leach, who was forced out of the game with a concussion - Matt Parkinson has been enlisted as his replacement - while debutant Matthew Potts suffered a bout of cramp after taking four Kiwi first-innings wickets.
After fulfilling their domestic duties both players will return to the camp in time for day three of the Test.
Brook is still awaiting his Test debut after Jonny Bairstow, returning after the Indian Premier League, was preferred instead.
