For those interested in how the batters might go today, the average number of runs scored per session on day three of Lord's Tests since 2006 is 79.77 before lunch, 90 between lunch and tea, and 91.74 after tea.
Meanwhile, if you're interested in how many times the ball crosses the rope in the day ahead, the average number of fours scored is 28.4, while the average number of sixes is 0.45.
This compares unfavourably with day two averages of 33.57 for fours and 1.28 for sixes.
For the bowlers, six wickets have fallen on average to seam on day three of the St John's Wood Tests during the same timeframe, with spinners claiming an average of 1.59. This compares with 7.36 to seam and 1.23 to spin on day two.
