England have the advantage going into the pivotal fourth Test at Old Trafford, where a win will clinch the series for the home side, but what does history tell us about how they might best pursue that goal?

If you fancy a flutter during the series, then look no further as we've teamed up with Betfair to give you all the stats you need to know for each day of this epic five-Test series.

The ground first hosted a Test between England and India in 1936, and a win would be virgin territory for India, who have never taken the spoils there.

That said, a home victory is far from a sure thing either; draws account for five of the nine Tests India have played at Manchester.

Looking at recent history, England have won 12 of their last 15 Tests at Old Trafford, losing just once.

In those games, the team winning the toss have decided to bat first on 12 occasions.

However, this shouldn't be taken as a guarantee of victory; the side batting first have won seven of those games, with those bowling first being victorious on six occasions.

If you're looking at when tomorrow's first wicket might fall, this has occurred on average after 25.06 runs have been scored or when 8.2 overs have been bowled.
