ENGLAND
Jonny Bairstow (139): A ludicrously-good cricketer. Four centuries in his last six ODI innings in as unbelievable return. Remember when he couldn’t get in the XI? 10
Jason Roy (82): A man in fine form, really should have had a hundred today as well. Those dark days of the Champions Trophy are long gone. 8.5
Alex Hales (147): That Hales could find himself carrying the drinks next summer shows how much quality England have at their disposal. Benefited for some loose bowling but came in and picked up where Roy left off. England have some major decisions to make with these three. 10
Jos Buttler (11): Came in at four to produce some fireworks and keep the momentum going but could only muster 11. 5
Eoin Morgan (67): 42 in nine balls is incredible by anyone’s standard’s. The way the skipper attacked made 500 a real possibility. 9
Moeen Ali (11 & 3-28): Three wickets in five overs. Another decent shift with the ball by Moeen. 8
Joe Root (4* & 0-19): Didn’t get going when he came in, England perhaps could have relegated him further considering the situation. 5
David Willey (1* & 2-56): Leaked a few runs and wides compared to England’s other seamers but in the context of the game not a horror show. 5
Liam Plunkett (0-41): No wickets, couple of grabs in the field. 5
Adil Rashid (4-47): Of course it helps to have a monster scored on the board but another four scalps is a fine return for Rashid who has been cracking to watch in this series. 8.5
Mark Wood (0-38): No wickets means it’s just two in three matches for the Durham man. 5
Jason Roy looked destined for another big hundred
AUSTRALIA
Travis Head (51): Hugely-promising start with little hope before the chase started. Caught and bowled by Moeen just after reaching fifty. 7
D'Arcy Short (15): A tame dismissal, loosely picking out mid-on. 4
Shaun Marsh (24): Looked in the mood to push his team forward but didn’t get enough of one and picked out Plunkett on the rope. 5
Marcus Stoinis (0-85 & 44): Shocking run out saw him off, not exactly cheap with the ball… 5
Aaron Finch (0-7 & 20): Smashed Rashid for six then beaten all ends up next ball. Should he be batting so far down the order? 4
Glenn Maxwell (0-21 & 19): Struggled to let loose, signed Stoinis’ death warrant with a crazy run. 3
Tim Paine (5): We’ll never know if the call at the toss would have altered the result… pulled Rashid straight to the one man in the deep. 2
Ashton Agar (1-70 & 25): When your cheapest bowler is going for seven an over, you know it hasn’t been a great day at the office. Fared well under the circumstances and got a few with the bat again. 5
Andrew Tye (0-100 & 5*): Who’d be a bowler? Not much joy out of his variations, 0-100 off nine overs, my word! 2
Jhye Richardson (3-92 & 14): Given some treatment by Bairstow in his first over and went for 15 boundaries in the piece. Showed bravery to use his trickery. A slower ball saw Buttler fall cheaply and then youngster removed Hales and Morgan in successive deliveries. 4
Billy Stanlake (0-74 & 1): The usual mix of pace and bounce but no wickets on his return to the XI. Might think twice before coming round the wicket to Hales again! 3
