West Indies dealt England an almighty seven-wicket defeat in the 5th ODI. The Cricketer runs the rule over the individual performances of both sets of players...
Chris Gayle (77): Off the back of his monster 162, facing a minuscule target, Universe Boss was in no mood to hang about. Chris Woakes taking the brunt of his opening assault as the 39-year-old reached his fifty in 19 balls. (10)
John Campbell (1): Wood’s pace too much for the opener who heard the stumps rattle. (2)
Shai Hope (13): A careless dismissal, looking to get the job done in style. (5)
Darren Bravo (7*): The job was all but done when Bravo arrived at the crease. (6)
Shimron Hetmyer (11*): A couple of boundaries in a short knock from the exciting batsman. (6)
Jason Holder (2-28): Recovered from bowling three wides in a row in his first over to pick up the wickets of Root and Rashid in a fairly economical effort. (7)
Carlos Brathwaite (2-17): Height and bounce brought about the wicket of Hales. A fine effort in his eight-over spell, going for just over two an over and picking up the wicket of Ben Stokes as well. (9)
Sheldon Cottrell (1-23): Found swing and bounce early on which resulted in the wicket of Jonny Bairstow. Leg stump went cartwheeling. (6.5)
Oshane Thomas (5-21): No doubt he had some help from the batsmen but take nothing away from the 22-year old. You can see why people are excited about his talent. (9)
Ashley Nurse (0-24): Not required to do much with the ball, a comfortable morning for Nurse. (5)

England posted their lowest score against West Indies in ODI history
Jonny Bairstow (11): Beaten by the Cottrell in swinger. Bairstow’s habit of being bowled is becoming a worry. (3)
Alex Hales (23): Had to bide his time early on but eventually fell to Brathwaite when the pressure began to build. (6)
Joe Root (1): As ever Root was looking to score off every ball, but disappointingly for England, guided his second ball straight down Cottrell’s throat at third man. (2)
Eoin Morgan (18): Thomas’ first victim - the skipper has been in fine nick but the vicious pace caused problems. (6)
Ben Stokes (15): Brathwaite’s second - Stokes fuming with himself. (5)
Jos Buttler (23): Buttler looked like he might be have been building a long resistance but Thomas’s speed forced a top-edge and the superstar fell. (6.5)
Moeen Ali (12): Pace again the cause - loose. (3)
Chris Woakes (0 & 1-56): Not a birthday to remember for the allrounder. He fell for a duck hooking his second ball, then sent down two overs that went for 39! Perhaps hard done by with the no-ball (on height) call that would have sent Gayle packing. (2)
Tom Curran (0 & 0-4): Stumps flattened by Thomas, bowled one ball that went for four. (1)
Adil Rashid (0): A six-ball duck and the game was done and dusted before he could have a twirl. (2)
Mark Wood (0* & 2-55): Beat the defences of Campbell to bowl the opener as he recorded figures of 1 for 4 in his first two overs. Took some tap after that but bowled with intent and caused Gayle the sort of problems that few can. (6)
