England have called up Craig Overton

Craig Overton has been called into the England one-day international squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

Overton, who made his Test debut during the Ashes campaign, is summoned to replace Liam Plunkett, who has been forced out of the trip due to injury.

Plunkett sustained a hamstring injury during the T20 Tri Series and has returned to the UK to begin his rehabilitation.

The Yorkshire bowler has been diagnosed with a grade one tear.
