Ollie Pope has been overlooked for selection for England's second LV=Insurance Test against India at Lord's.

The 23-year-old has been nursing a thigh injury and missed the opening match of the series at Trent Bridge after failing to prove his fitness.

Following some familiar issues in the batting line-up, it was expected Pope would return at the home of cricket with Dom Sibley, Zak Crawley and Dan Lawrence all under pressure.

But the ECB have confirmed the right-hander has been released back to his county, Surrey.

He has been made available for the One-Day Cup clash with Derbyshire at The Incora County Ground.
