Mount Manuganui, which has hosted Tests on England's last two visits, is overlooked after what New Zealand Cricket described as an "extremely competitive venue allocation process".
The tour sees the team, captained by Ben Stokes, who was born in Christchurch, and former Kiwi captain Brendon McCullum lead the side back to their homeland for the first series since the 2022/23 meeting which ended in dramatic circumstances.
Tim Southee's side clinched a 1-1 series draw courtesy of a one-run victory in Wellington as the host prevailed after being asked to follow on.
For England, the series will come hot off the heels of three Tests in Pakistan scheduled for October.

NZC hope to build on an encouraging 2023/24 during which crowds were at capacity for seven of the eight days of the two Tests played against Australia, while TVNZ enjoyed impressive audiences.
The remainder of New Zealand's home summer, which is scheduled to include visits from Australia and Sri Lanka women, and Sri Lanka and Pakistan men, will be announced later in the year.
