The Kent batsman has yet to reach three figures for England in 12 Tests but he is confident a score is around the corner
England's Joe Denly is confident of breaking his century duck as his wait for a first three-figure international score continues.
The Kent man has six fifties in 23 innings but has yet to convert any of them into a hundred.
Denly fell six runs short against Australia at The Oval, eventually being dismissed for 94 - the closest he has come to the elusive milestone.
In South Africa, the 33-year-old has one half-century in four knocks, alongside three scores in the 30s.
Despite the constant failure, Denly is hopeful that a significant score is just around the corner, as the third Test against The Proteas at Port Elizabeth looms.
"I'm certainly becoming more confident with each game I play, each knock I have," he said.
"I'm feeling more and more confident when I'm out there.
"It is frustrating that I haven't kicked on and got that really big score but I really believe it is just a matter of time if I keep doing the things I've been doing.
"It will be nice to go on and get that big one and hopefully it is not too far away."
