England's men have kept their options open ahead of the fifth Test against India after naming a 16-strong squad for the match at Emirates Old Trafford.

Jos Buttler returns after attending the birth of his second child and Jack Leach is recalled.

Sam Billings is released to re-join Kent having been part of the group for the fourth Test at The Kia Oval.

James Anderson and Ollie Robinson are retained despite both having bowled more than 160 overs in the series.

Following their 157-run success at The Kia Oval, India lead the series 2-1 with one Test to play.
