The Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, in Gros Islet, St Lucia, where England will face tournament co-hosts West Indies overnight, has hosted 67 T20 matches in total. Here's a breakdown of how they've gone:

Average 2nd innings score
144 @ 8.00

Team batting first after winning the toss
28 times, resulting in 11 wins (39.2%)

Teams bowling first after winning the toss
37 times, resulting in 22 wins (59.4%)

Biggest win margin by wickets
10 – St Lucia Zouks 118/9 v Jamaica Tallawahs 121/0, 2015

Powerplay - 1st innings
High 92, low 19, average 47

Powerplay – 2nd innings
High 77, low 30, average 49

While the statistics for toss wins suggesting a chase may be favourable, the temptation may be for Jos Buttler to put the hosts in if he wins it.

If that happens though, keep an eye on the record powerplay high score. West Indies scored 92 during theirs against Afghanistan to beat the previous T20 World Cup record of the Netherlands, who had scored 91 against Ireland at the 2014 tournament.
