Joe Root's side will play two behind-closed-doors Tests in Galle in the New Year following the series postponement in March
England will tour Sri Lanka for two Tests in January 2021, the ECB have been confirmed.
The rescheduled matches come after the series last March was postponed as the Covid-19 pandemic took hold.
Both Tests will be played behind-closed-doors in Galle between 14-18 and 22-26 January.
The series makes up part of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship.
Players and backroom staff will take a chartered flight to Hambantota on January 2 and will be initially based at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.
Following the Tests, they will depart Sri Lanka on January 27.
A Test series against India in February remains in the pipeline but dates and venues are yet to be confirmed.
