England name 15-man preliminary World Cup squad

The World Cup hosts' finalised squad will be confirmed on May 22 ahead of the ICC deadline of May 23

England have named their preliminary 15-man squad for this summer’s World Cup.

There's no space for Jofra Archer at this stage, however, the explosive Sussex allrounder will get an audition as he is included in the squad for the five-match ODI series against Pakistan which starts on May 8.

The finalised squad will be confirmed on May 22 ahead of the ICC deadline of May 23.

England have also named a 14-man squad for the one-off ODI against Ireland in Dublin on May 3.
