A further 15 players, including Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer and Rehan Ahmed, have signed two-year deals while the likes of James Anderson, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali and Dawid Malan have been awarded one-year contracts
Joe Root, Mark Wood and Harry Brook have been awarded three-year deals as part of the new batch of England men's central contracts announced by the ECB.
A further 15 players have been tied down to two-year deals, including white-ball captain Jos Buttler, Jonny Bairstow, Rehan Ahmed – the first teenager to be handed an England men's central contact, and Jofra Archer.
This is the first time multi-year contracts have been awarded since central contracts were introduced in 2000, with the ECB keen to counter the threat to player availability posed by T20 franchise tournaments and offer players increased security.
In total, 29 central contracts have been handed out, with seven players – Ahmed, Gus Atkinson, Brook, Brydon Carse, Ben Duckett, Matthew Potts and Josh Tongue – receiving full contracts for the first time.

James Anderson, who turned 41 in July, has received a one-year deal as have Test captain Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, out of favour wicketkeeper Ben Foakes and Dawid Malan, who returns to the annual contract list after missing out last year.
Pace bowlers Matthew Fisher, Saqib Mahmood and John Turner have signed development contracts, which are designed to support players with "high potential".
Rob Key, managing director of England men's cricket, said: "We are rewarding those players who we expect to make a significant impact over the coming years playing for England.
"It is great news and a credit to the players for demonstrating their commitment to English cricket in the ever-changing landscape of the sport.
"I would like to congratulate all the players who have been offered contracts. They will play a pivotal role in England's efforts over the next few years."
