Joe Denly has recovered from injury to take his place in the England squad for the upcoming T20 international series against Pakistan.

The Kent batsman had been struggling with a back injury which forced his withdrawal from the squad for the final two ODIs against Ireland last month.

Chris Jordan is also fit again after undergoing surgery on a biceps problem while Lewis Gregory is also in the fold.

Reece Topley also returns after missing the end of the Ireland series, while Pat Brown is also in the reserve list after suffering a stress fracture to his lower back at the start of the year.

Liam Livingstone earned a call-up for Ireland ODIs and though he did not feature makes a return for the T20s.

The squad is without any of the players currently involved in the Test series against Pakistan.

But the likes of Joe Root, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler and Chris Woakes could be considered later in the summer when Australia visit for three T20s and a trio of ODIs in September.

After Paul Collingwood led the white-ball squad to a 2-1 series success over Ireland, Graham Thorpe will take charge of this series with Chris Silverwood not available due to the series taking place so close to the Tests.

Collingwood will act as an assistant alongside batting lead Marcus Trescothick and bowling coaches Jon Lewis and Azhar Mahmood. James Foster will take on wicket-keeping responsibilities.

England face Pakistan in three T20s on August 28, 30, and September 1.

England men’s T20I squad: Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Tom Banton, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Joe Denly, Lewis Gregory, Chris Jordan, Saqib Mahmood, Dawid Malan, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, David Willey

Reserves: Pat Brown, Liam Livingstone, Reece Topley
