Samit Patel has signed a contract extension at Nottinghamshire, taking him through until the end of the 2020 season.
The allrounder, a graduate of the club's academy, has made in excess of 11,500 first-class runs and 10,000 List A runs over the course of a career which has also seen him win 60 international caps.
Patel, 33, was delighted to sign on the dotted line at Trent Bridge.
“I thoroughly enjoy playing at my home county of Notts, so I’m thrilled to have extended my stay here for another two years,” he said.
“When I made my debut for the club in 2002, I would have never expected to have been playing here all these years later, but it’s a great privilege to play at a ground like Trent Bridge.
“The club has had some significant successes in my time here, not least last season, and hopefully there are more to come this season and beyond.”
