North Group

Durham v Yorkshire (Day/Night)

Where: Emirates Riverside

When: Friday May 18, 2.00pm BST start

Team news: For the hosts, New Zealand international Tom Latham replaces South African opener Aiden Markram as their overseas player for this competition and he will make his debut as captain. For the visitors, Adil Rashid is set to make his first appearance of the season after committing his services to white-ball cricket only for the White Rose this summer.

Form: Durham enter the competition in reasonably poor form after a start to the season in the County Championship Division Two that has seen them record one win, one defeat and two draws, leaving them in eighth position. Yorkshire, fresh off the back of an innings defeat against Surrey at The Oval, lie in fifth place in Division One after five fixtures, winning two, losing two and drawing one.

In the Royal London One-Day Cup in 2017, Yorkshire defeated Durham at Headingley thanks to a superb knock of 174 from England wicket-keeper batsman Jonny Bairstow.

South Group

Glamorgan v Gloucestershire

Where: SSE Swalec Stadium

When: Friday May 18, 11.00am BST start

Team news: Colin Ingram is set to lead Glamorgan for the first time in white ball cricket on Friday while Kiran Carlson, owing to first-year university exams, is unavailable for selection. 

Form: Both sides have had below-par starts to their seasons with Gloucestershire and Glamorgan finding themselves in seventh and ninth respectively in County Championship Division Two.

In 2017, when the two sides met in the competition, Glamorgan won a rain affected game in Bristol by 18 runs with Jacques Rudolph hitting a fine 121 and Colin Ingram’s leg-spin keeping the hosts chase in-check.

Surrey v Somerset

Where: Kia Oval

When: Friday May 18, 11.00am BST start

Team news: Jason Roy and Tom Curran remain away on IPL duty for Surrey however Dean Elgar is still available, serving as the club’s overseas player until the end of the month. Matt Renshaw is set to play for the travelling Somerset.

Form: Surrey and Somerset have both started strongly this season, as the only two unbeaten sides in Division One of the Championship they sit third and second respectively in the table.

In the corresponding Royal London One-Day Cup fixture in 2017, Somerset won the fixture by four wickets at Taunton. Chasing 291, Roelof van der Merwe’s unbeaten 165 from 122 balls stole the show.
