Luke Wood loaned to Worcestershire
The 22-year-old took four County Championship wickets in the first two matches of the summer, but subsequently suffered an ankle ligament injury which has hampered his first-team progress
Notts have loaned bowler Luke Wood to Worcestershire on a month-long deal.
The 22-year-old took four County Championship wickets in the first two matches of the summer, but subsequently suffered an ankle ligament injury which has hampered his first-team progress.
Wood has been working on a return to full fitness and has featured for the second XI.
Notts' Director of Cricket Mick Newell said: "Luke has been a little unlucky after a bright start to the season, so getting some games under his belt at this point in his comeback is just what we think he needs."
“Worcestershire will be getting a player who will be determined to prove himself and hopefully when he comes back to Trent Bridge, he will be pushing for a first-team place.”
