The Foxes have moved to make Mohammad Nabi their T20 Blast overseas player.
The 33-year-old Afghanistan international comes with a wealth of T20 experience, having played 160 matches for both his country and various franchises across the globe.
His skills were most recently on show for Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash, where he claimed eight wickets with an economy rate of 5.77, and scored 88 runs at 29.33 with a strike rate of 139.68.

Nabi will feature alongside Afghanistan team-mate Rashid Khan for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this year’s IPL before heading to Leicestershire for the summer.
The allrounder is currently playing for his country in the Cricket World Cup Qualifier where he has hit 92 and 51 in losing efforts against Scotland and Zimbabwe respectively.
Nabi greeted the move by saying: “I have heard a lot of good things about the Foxes. I am looking forward to working with Paul Nixon and joining a professional and ambitious county with a good track record in T20.”
