Chris Rogers has joined the Gloucestershire coaching staff for the first two months of the County Championship season.
Rogers, who scored 76 first-class centuries and more than 25,000 runs during an illustrious career which also brought him 25 Test caps, has already teamed up with the club and will work with the county until the middle of June.
He has previously been employed in a coaching capacity at Somerset.
Earlier this week, he was also confirmed as Cricket Australia's new high-performance batting coach, with a responsibility for teaching the next generation of Aussie stars how to cope with varying conditions around the world.
"It is a great opportunity to work with a group of very talented players," Rogers said, speaking of his new county role which will involve working with the development squad as well as the first team.
"There is a strong core of young batsmen at Gloucestershire and hopefully they can learn something from my time with them."
"It’s great to have Chris working with us for the first few months of the season," said Gloucestershire head coach Richard Dawson.
"He not only brings with him a wealth of batting knowledge, but also leadership qualities having captained sides and experiences from successful changing rooms, all of which can be passed onto our players and coaching staff.”
