Essex seamer Matt Dixon has moved to Durham
Matt Dixon has joined Durham from Essex on a month-long loan deal.
The seamer will be available in all forms of cricket for his temporary side, starting with this weekend's County Championship clash with Derbyshire.
"This is a great opportunity for Matt to head out on loan to another club and get some game time," Essex coach Anthony McGrath said.
"Matt has found his first-team chances limited due to the number of pace bowlers we have at the club, but he now has a chance to impress at Durham in both red and white-ball cricket.
"We wish Matt luck and look forward to having him back with the squad after the loan period comes to an end in mid-June, for the demanding summer ahead."
Durham head coach Jon Lewis said: "I’m looking forward to welcoming Matt into our squad and believe he can add depth and pace to our current group."
Dixon, 25, has taken 27 first-class wickets and 11 in List A matches in his career to date.
